Empowering Workplaces: NCETA’s AOD Training & Support

NCETA has delivered tailored AOD training and support to workplaces, including forums, workshops, and online sessions, with resources available on our website

NCETA have been busy providing alcohol and other drug support to a number of organisations over the past few months including:

Dr Kirrilly Thompson presented at SafeWork SA Workplace Health and Safety Inspectors Forum in November, sharing research on alcohol and other drugs in the workplace and best practice to support workers.

Dr Kirrilly Thompson along with Mark Thompson from DASSA, delivered the ABC of AOD workshop at Nunkuwarrin Yunti’s AOD Forum in Renmark early October, talking about alcohol and other drug awareness for Aboriginal peoples, and strategies for harm reduction and treatment.

Our training consultant Chris Holmwood provided two customised online AOD training sessions for Services Australia with the first one focussing on Understanding substance dependence and its effects and the second on Complex substance dependence and treatment.

If you are interested in talking to us about training support for your organisation, see more information on NCETA’s website.

We also have lots of resources available for workplaces to respond to alcohol and drug issues and to develop policies on the Worklife Website.
