FASD National Awareness Campaign for Pregnant and Breastfeeding Women: Evaluation Extension

NCETA continues to undertake evaluation of the extended FASD national awareness campaign

NCETA have received funding from the Foundation for Alcohol Research and Education (FARE) to continue the ongoing evaluation of FARE’S fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD) national awareness campaign for pregnant and breastfeeding women throughout 2026.

FARE is funded by the Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing to deliver a national campaign that raises awareness of the importance of alcohol-free pregnancy and breastfeeding, and aims to reduce incidence of prenatal alcohol exposure and FASD. The initial campaign ran from 2020 and 2024, and NCETA has been involved in evaluating the extended phases of the campaign: first from November 2024 –June 2025 and now again from November 2025 – June 2026.
