Research positions available at NCETA

NCETA are looking to expand our team with two exciting opportunities currently available based at Flinders University, Bedford Park.

If you're passionate about making a difference in the field of alcohol and other drugs, we’d love to hear from you. Both roles are currently being advertised until Sunday 6 July.

Research Fellow

The Research Fellow will provide oversight across a range of research, evaluation and consultancy projects. This role will lead the development and implementation of data collections, manage key datasets, and offer methodological expertise across various NCETA initiatives. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the design and execution of surveys and systematic reviews
• Producing high quality research proposals, reports and peer-reviewed publications
• Providing methodological advice and analytical support
• Contributing to the development of applications and tenders for externally funded research funding.

Research Assistant

The Research Assistant will support our Research Team and Director across a variety of projects. Working under general supervision, you will assist with a broad range of research activities contributing to NCETA’s work. Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting literature searches and supporting the development of ethics applications and research materials
• Assisting with data collection and participant liaison
• Contributing to grant applications
• Supporting the analysis of quantitative and qualitative data
• Assisting in the preparation of research outputs including reports, manuscripts, and conference presentations
• Helping to disseminate research findings through NCETA communications such as newsletters, the website, and social media.
