NDRI researchers present on variety of AOD topics at APSAD

September 2022

NDRI researchers from both sides of Australia will be in Darwin in early October, presenting research to the APSAD Scientific Drug and Alcohol Conference on topics ranging from alcohol policy to naloxone and supervised injecting rooms.

Researchers from NDRI Melbourne, for example, will examine minimum unit pricing, generational shifts in attitudes about alcohol, and the impacts of the Melbourne Supervised Injecting Room as well as presenting posters on gambling and the oral health of people who use methamphetamine.

They will be joined by researchers at NDRI Perth who will, among other presentations, examine if First Nation Australians’ self-determination in alcohol policy is possible, and whether expanded access to naloxone among police officers is effective.
