NCETA AOD Workforce Reference Group – Call for EoIs

February 2023

NCETA is seeking members of the alcohol and other drug (AOD) workforce to join its new AOD Workforce Reference Group. This includes both specialist workers whose role focuses on AOD and generalist workers with a role in addressing AOD harms.

As an internationally recognised research centre that works as a catalyst for change in the AOD field, a key priority area of the Centre is AOD workforce development.

We are seeking individuals who would like to: Provide input on various projects to ensure they meet the needs of the sector including input into how new projects are designed and implemented

  • Review existing resources provided by NCETA to ensure relevance for the sector and whether updating them should be a strategic priority
  • Provide input into any gaps in resources provided by NCETA for the sector, including input into the development of new or revised workforce resources based on research findings
  • Encourage the involvement of the AOD sector in NCETA projects
  • Assist in disseminating research findings and resources across the AOD workforce.

The Reference Group will meet virtually at least twice per year; additional meetings may be scheduled or feedback sought via e-mail if needed.

Further information about the Reference Group is available by contacting nceta@flinders.edu.au.

To apply to join the Reference Group, please complete the expression of interest form by 24 March 2023 by telling us a little about your involvement in the AOD workforce and your interest in the position. We intend to select members from a range of different roles, employer types, and locations.
