Recently, Professor Ann Roche was invited to join 2SER 107.3 to discuss how cannabis use impacts workplace productivity and absenteeism.
Professor Roche drew on NCETA’s contribution on workplace costs from a recently released NDRI report: Quantifying the Social Costs of Cannabis Use to Australia in 2015/16. The report highlights how cannabis use is costing Australia $4.5 billion a year in health-care, criminal justice, reduced productivity and absenteeism and premature death through road accidents.
