On the 7th September Insight hosted a webinar with the founder of Real Drug Talk, Jack Nagle and NCETA’s very own, Victoria Kostadinov. The webinar focussed on peer workers and workers with lived and living experience and the role they play within the Australian AOD workforce, as well as the challenges they face. It also examined existing Australian data sources regarding the prevalence and characteristics of lived experience workers.
The webinar ended with a discussion around the implications for recruitment, retention, and professional development activities.
Ms Kostadinov commented that ‘It was such a privilege to be invited by Insight and share these findings, which will hopefully have some bearing on how the AOD sector can support these workers moving forward.’
