Alcohol policy and intervention effects in Western Australia: A joint initiative in demand-driven research

This project will investigate the impacts of prevention focused alcohol interventions including alcohol policy and regulation on alcohol use, related harms and associated economic costs as well as conduct demand-driven evidence-based research that bridges knowledge gaps in the context of strategic priorities in alcohol harm prevention, enables research to policy and practice pathways, and supports uptake of evidence-based decision making.

Co-funded by the Mental Health Commission and led by NDRI Alcohol Policy and Strategies Program Leader Professor Tanya Chikritzhs, the project will also advance both the Commission’s research capability and NDRI’s engagement and impact capacity.
