Your Worklife! Website Information Session

May 2021

NCETA welcomed Industry partners and colleagues to the Your WorkLife! Website information session at Flinders University’s Victoria Square building on the 23rd April.

The information session was opened by Professor Peter Eastwood, Director of the Flinders Health and Medical Research Institute and Dean of Research, College of Medicine and Public Health, Flinders University. Associate Professor Ken Pidd then demonstrated the website’s vast resources including downloadable fact sheets, how-to-guides, toolbox talks, posters, videos and handouts, along with 9 online learning topics. These evidence-based resources were developed to illustrate the effects of alcohol and drugs on health, safety, mental health, wellbeing and productivity within the workplace.

Associate Professor Pidd went on to discuss the importance of implementing drug and alcohol workplace policies not only to promote workplace safety but also increase productivity, reduce absenteeism, address duty of care and legal obligations and improve worker morale and wellbeing.

The Your WorkLife! site is the result of a 3 year research project in conjunction with DASSA and the SA Government.

Thank you to all who attended.
