The most recent video abstract explores what is known about methamphetamine withdrawal, and how treating it might be approached.

Using the results of a systematic review and meta-analysis, we discuss what medications have been trialled to date, whether or not they worked, and the impact of these results in clinical practice.

Meanwhile, registrations will open soon for the fourth annual NCCRED clinical research symposium, to be held in Canberra on Monday November 7. Presentations will be round 4 seed funding recipients as well as the current research being undertaken by the Centre.

NCCRED brings together clinicians and researchers to detect and respond to trends in emerging drug health. It is funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health and made up of NCETA, NDRI, NDARC and St Vincent’s Health Australia.
