Lifetime Achievement Award for NDRI's Steve Allsop

Decades of service to have been recognised with NDRI Professor Steve Allsop awarded the 2021 Lifetime Achievement Award by Curtin University’s Faculty of Health Sciences.

A world-renowned researcher in alcohol and other drugs, Professor Allsop’s association with Curtin dates back to the mid-1980s, when he taught Addiction Studies. Later, he was Associate Professor in the Centre for International Health before serving as Director of NDRI from 2005 to 2016. Today, he continues as Professor, Program Leader and PhD Supervisor at NDRI, which has been housed at Curtin University since inception.

The award recognises an outstanding researcher who is highly respected in their own research field and has generated a high quality body of work that has made a substantial increase in knowledge or impact on the community over a sustained period of time.
