Forthcoming tools and resources from NCETA to assist workers and organisations

August 2020

Keep an eye out over the coming months for two new resources developed by NCETA aimed at assisting workers and organisations:

1.     Online collection of AOD screening and withdrawal tools

Developed by NCETA to assist frontline workers, this new website will provide an online collection of AOD screening and withdrawal tools commonly used in Australia. For each included tool an overview is provided along with links to each instrument. The website will go live in the last quarter of 2020.

2.     Organisational Check-Up Toolkit

The Organisational Check-Up Toolkit has been developed by NCETA to support AOD organisations to explore, assess and evaluate their workforce development issues, activities and outcomes. The Toolkit is based on Australia’s Alcohol and Other Drug Workforce National Survey and aligns with the National Quality Framework for Drug and Alcohol Treatment Services. It includes survey items, discussion guides and other instruments that can be used to gain staff feedback and input on key workforce development issues. The Toolkit will be available in the latter part of 2020.
