Suicide risk in alcohol & other drug treatment settings: A persistent clinical issue

Those entering treatment for substance dependence have high levels of psychopathology, and are at heightened risk of suicide. Based on research identifying a dearth of organisational policies and intervention options in relation to suicide in treatment agencies, NDARC developed the Suicide Assessment Kit (SAK). This kit aims to help organisations develop policies and procedures to manage their clients' risk of suicide.

Is Australia “On the Rocks”? Trends and Patterns of Methamphetamine Use and Implications for the AOD Sector

In response to emerging political and public concern with methamphetamine issues, as well as media reports of an ‘Ice epidemic’, NCETA developed a program of work to investigate the patterns and trends of methamphetamine use in the community and its impact on AOD treatment services.
